Grounded Theory and Its Applications

Grounded Theory is a qualitative research method. Its main purpose to establish theory based on empirical data, emphasizing the understanding of social interaction, processes and changes from perspective actors. Generally, there no theoretical hypothesis before start research. It starts actual observation, summarizes experience original then rises system theory. This method establishing substantive bottom up. On basis systematically collecting it seeks core concepts that reflect essence things, constructs relevant theories through links between these concepts. Based literature analysis referring previous results, this paper overall framework Theory, explains steps sampling, open coding, axial selective coding saturation test, which lays foundation for application in practice.
